Each year, Desjardins awards thousands of scholarships to support students in their academic pursuits. Scholarships are offered to all post-secondary students: vocational school, college/CEGEP or university. A new category has been added this year for young people who are changing careers or going back to school because of the pandemic.

To apply for the scholarship for Vocational Programs that can be up to $1000 you will need to Create a Profile

You can apply between March 1 and March 31. When you create your profile you will get to the next step of the application.

Please find below the specifications for eligibility to apply for the scholarship:


  • 2021 eligibility for Desjardins Foundation scholarships
  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status.
  • Have primary residence in Canada.
  • Be a member of a Desjardins caisse in Quebec or of the Desjardins Ontario Credit Union at the time you apply and at the time you receive your scholarship. (This means to have an account at Dejardins)
  • Be enrolled in part-time or full-time vocational training or a college/CEGEP or university program at a recognized educational institution for the fall 2021 semester.
  • Be 30 years of age or younger on December 31, 2021
  • Be 40 years of age or younger on December 31, 2021 (applies only to scholarships for adults going back to school to change careers)
  • Not have received a multi-year scholarship from the Desjardins Foundation already covering the fall 2021 semester.
  • Not have received a Desjardins Foundation scholarship for a university doctoral degree program.
  • Be enrolled in the program for the FALL 2021.



For example, perhaps you worked as a mechanic and lost your job. With this program, you can train to work in the health care field and receive financial assistance for the entire time.

This program officially came into effect on November 30, 2020.
