The CDC Pont-Viau center, located in the Laval area, offers a variety of Vocational Training Programs in Health, Technology, Administration, Building and Public Works, which lead to a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or an Attestation of Vocational Specializations (AVS) issued by the Ministry of Education of Québec.  We offer onsite support, small classes, individualized learning pathways and French language classes. The teachers and staff at our center will help you to reach your career goals and are committed to your success.

  • Institutional Homecare Assistance (870 hours)
  • Health, Assistance, and Nursing (1800 hours)
  • Upgrading Nursing (570 hours)
  • Accounting (1350 hours)
  • Computing Support (1800 hours)
  • Secretarial Studies (1485 hours)
  • Construction Business Management (450 hours)
  • Industrial Drafting (1800 hours)


The Construc-Plus Vocational Centre, located in the St-Eustache area, offers training in the Construction field leading to a Diploma in Vocational Studies (DVS) or an Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS) from the “Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement Supérieur”.  These training courses allow you to enter the job market as soon as you have obtained your diploma. The teachers are all from the labour market and their goal is to prepare you to face the challenges that await you in your future job. The entire Centre team is committed to your success and will make every effort to get you there.

  • Carpentry (1350 hours)
  • Welding and Fitting (1800 hours)
  • Plumbing and Heating (1680 hours)
  • Preparing and Finishing Concrete (900 hours)
  • Commercial and Residential Painting (900 hours)

PEQ immigration program

In Quebec, there is a fast-track immigration program called Programme de l’Experience Quebecoise (PEQ) which offers international students the opportunity to apply for a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) of up to 3 years upon successfully completing a vocational training program. Programs of 900 hours or more could lead to a PGWP of 1-3 years. Consequently, students are also eligible to apply for Permanent Residency upon completion of their studies and after meeting several other eligibility criterion. In order to evaluate your file, you will be requested to email the following documents:

  • Application Package (filled and signed)
  • Valid passport with photo ID
  • Copy of your original birth certificate, notarized and translated into English. Translations must be signed and notarized. Photocopies must be certified.
  • Copy of your original high school transcripts and diplomas, translated into English. Translations must be signed. Photocopies must be certified with the issuing school’s stamp.
  • Copy of an English language proficiency score (IELTS/TOEFL/Cambridge/PTE)

Your file will be evaluated and if you meet the requirements for your program of choice, you will then receive an invoice. You must then make your first payment and pay for the application fees and a tuition fee deposit. Upon reception of your payment, we will email you a Letter of Acceptance to begin processing your immigration permits.

Due to Covid-19 , we are also accepting the online Duolingo English Proficiency test. 

Duolingo English Test

Minimum score:

  • Vocational training: 95

The Duolingo English proficiency test can be taken online, on-demand, in under an hour for only $49. The test is taken via a computer with a camera and includes a proficiency score, video interview, and writing sample which are shared with us when you send your results. Certified results are available within 48hours of the test session.


For the student registering in vocational training, we have a list of accommodation options that students can use as a reference. You will find it on the left side of our website. Click on “Documents and Brochures” and then click on “Accommodation Options”.


International students studying in vocational training are able to work part-time up to a maximum of 20 hours per week during the course of their studies and full-time during school breaks (Ex: Summer and Winter breaks).
