Accounting Studies


ACCOUNTING | DEP-1350 HOURS | 12 MONTHS (approx.)

  • This program is offered in a hybrid format.
  • ALL EXAMS are done at the centre.
  • At the teacher’s request some activities will be done on-site/in-person
  • Students must have a laptop/PC equipped with Windows 10. MAC is not permitted
  • The first 10 days of the program will be IN-PERSON at the centre

Admission conditions

To be eligible for admission to this program, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Persons holding a Secondary School Diploma or its recognized equivalent
OR
Persons who are at least 16 years of age on September 30 of the school year in which their training is to begin and have earned the Secondary IV credits in language of instruction, second language and mathematics in the programs of study established by the Minister, or have been granted recognition for equivalent learning
OR
Persons who are at least 18 years of age upon entry into the program and have the following functional prerequisites: the successful completion of the General Development Test (see the following table), or recognition of equivalent learning
OR
Persons who have obtained Secondary III credits in language of instruction, second language and mathematics in programs established by the Minister are required to pursue general education courses, concurrently with their vocational training, in order to obtain the Secondary IV credits they lack in language of instruction, second language and mathematics in programs established by the Minister.

  1. Determine their suitability for the occupation and the training process
  2. Research and exchange information
  3. Produce tables and charts
  4. Do calculations and prepare source documents
  5. Format accounting-related correspondence
  6. Write accounting-related correspondence in English
  7. Process source documents in different types of companies
  8. Handle cash
  9. Use information related to legislation affecting businesses
  10. Interact in a variety of professional situations
  11. Communicate in French in an accounting context

  • September 5th, 2024 (tentative)

 Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00pm to 1:00pm (tentative)

If you were born in Quebec

  • Original birth certificate (long form from Registre de l’état civil)
  • Original school documents (MELS transcript of marks or GDT and specific prerequisites)
  • Medicare card or Drivers Licence

If you were born in Canada (outside of Quebec)

  • Original birth certificate
  • Proof of Quebec residence (driver’s licence or Medicare card)
  • Original school documents (diploma, relevé des apprentissages, or GDT and specific prerequisites)

If you were born outside of Canada

  • Citizenship card or permanent residence card or IMM-1000 form and CSQ (Certificat de sélection du Québec)
  • Proof of Quebec residence (driver’s licence or Medicare card) or three consecutive years of tax papers (Revenu Québec, Federal, Municipal, School tax, House tax, etc.)
  • Educational equivalencies or Comparative evaluation (MIDI)
